Ky's Kandles started in 2017, and while it started as a simple seashell Pinterest craft and hobby, it has blossomed over the years to where we are today. As time progressed, we researched the health risks of commonly used candle ingredients and noticed that many luxury candle companies do not offer quality, toxin-free ingredients. During Kyla's Master of Physiology program at NC State University, Kyla melded her love for human health and candle making and put more of an emphasis on our candle's ingredients with a healthy dose of sustainability. Along with our core values, we wouldn't want to leave you without our 3 pillars: light, love, and positivity.
Light
There is already so much darkness in the world, and through our company and products, this pillar serves as a reminder to smile, and continue being that light and spreading it literally, and figuratively.
Love
When we indulge in self-care, and pour love into ourselves first, we are able to better love and pour into those around us without dimming our own light.
Positivity
A fulfilling life with nothing but positive vibes, is all about perspective. Accomplishing our goals isn’t meant to be easy, and overcoming adversity in our journey, includes the shift from why is this happening to me, to why is this happening FOR me?

Meet the Maker, Kyla
Kyla, a native of Raleigh, embarked on her candle-making journey during her undergraduate years at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in chemistry and Spanish.
Her fascination with the art and science of candle making deepened in 2017, leading to the creation of Ky's Kandles. What initially started as a creative outlet during her leisure time soon evolved into something more profound.
Inspired by her own experiences as a former recipient of donations and the Salvation Army Angel Tree drives, Kyla recognized her business’s potential as a platform for giving back to the community. She is committed to the power of paying it forward.
